So Wednesday is right around the corner, like an hour away, and my daughter's first day at preK-4 is Wednesday morning. She is thrilled, excited and ready to learn... I on the other hand am forgetting something, worse off I have no clue what I am forgetting so there may be a letter "to the parent" about a lack of first month payment, missing supplies, no brain or something along those lines. All I am thinking is a few hours to myself to do a quick Sam's Run for work, maybe have a delicious Starbucks coffee since it has been a month since my last one and then pick up my daughter.
Do not get me wrong, I LOVE my daughter, adore her, she is my world and life BUT mommy needs a little time to herself to clean, do laundry, surf the web/facebook, drink coffee in peace... that is all I am asking. Of course after my lovely daughter is done with morning preschool I will be one of the first moms to be on time to pick up their kids. We will hug, kiss, she will talk a mile a minute about everything she did and everyone in her class AND I WILL be loving every minute of it... see how a few hours of mommy along time can really refresh a mommy :)
So to all those moms doing the school routine remember to take some time to yourself, even if just a few minutes, and enjoy your alone time because come pick up time you will be back into it full force.... oh and if you can figure out what I am forgetting for my daughter's preschool that would be great. Thanks!

Over the years & promises
Over the years I have always said "I am going to keep connected with friends and family through my blog" well after 10 years of saying this I have decided to be real about why I want to start a blog. Instead of keeping "connected" to family and friends my blog is going to be a place for me to waist time, give me a place to have a say, share moments and that is it, doing it mainly for myself.
At the beginning of summer I promised myself that we would have more time to go to the beach, relaxing and recover from the school year. Ha. In fact, once again, that was so far from the truth. The summer was crammed full of work, trying to keep up with the laundry, trying to keep sane and getting to the beach once and the zoo five times. Over all it was a good summer... but it could have been better. Next summer I want to say there will be more relaxing and there might be, besides my little bro's wedding (super exticed about this), planning & running a family reunion (fun but a lot of work) and another fine arts fair (needs a major over haul on how it is run to actaully be called a fine arts fair). So as you can see next summer already seems busy and this summer has just come to and end.
Oh and those New Year's Resolutions... yup I highly doubt that I actually kept any of those promises. I am sure there were those to lose weight, tone up, eat right, be nicer, take motorcycle classes and get a bike... yup NONE of those really ever happened, have to say I eat a lot better then I did in high school and college so maybe that one I can say I actually kept my promise on, though I am still far from the healthiest eater.
Over the years, and whatever promises I have made, I have deiced to cut back on the promises and just try to be the best wife, mother, daughter, friend and child of God as I can be... no promises just trying & doing. So with that, fingers crossed, this blog will be updated once a month... or maybe more.
